Located on the coast, you’ll find our peaceful retreat in two 1800s farmhouses surrounded by forest, gardens and sea. The perfect place to rest, rejuvenate, feel inspired, write, create, connect and eat beautiful food. Accommodations are in Laurie’s Spofford Hill house. All of the rooms are decorated simply, with fresh flowers on the table and the walls adorned with work from local artists.

with its natural plank floors, antique dresser, and a view of the harbor, this 2nd floor room is a sweet queen bedroom with a chair for reading or writing, and a closet for storage. this room is simply and beautifully furnished with a queen bed, bedding, a cozy robe, towels, fresh flowers, and area rugs. the shared bath features a french shower and a glorious view of the harbor. the lovely pine room shares a bathroom with baba’s room and village view room.
baba’s room
$125 per day
named after Laurie’s grandfather, this room is furnished with the antique bedframe Baba gave to Laurie for her wedding to Peter. you will sleep like a baby in this beautiful queen bed. this 2nd floor room with painted wide plank flooring is decorated with local art, has beautiful area rugs, an upholstered chair for reading, a cozy robe, towels, fresh flowers and a closet for storage. this room is beautifully and simply furnished, perfect for rest and relaxation. baba’s room shares a bathroom with pine room and village view room.
village view
$75 per person/per day
this 2nd floor room with its painted wide plank wood floors and cream color walls is a spacious shared room with views of the harbor and deer isle village. the walls are adorned with art from local artists. this room is beautifully and simply furnished with two single beds, bedding, cozy robes, towels, a closet for storage, fresh flowers and a reading space. village view room shares a bathroom with pine room and baba’s room.
forest room

this small single room on the 2nd floor is situated so that it looks toward the forest that surrounds the houses. its painted floors, cream-colored walls, antique tables, and rocking chair give it the feel of a simple Maine farmhouse room. the walls are decorated with local art. this room is furnished with a single bed, bedding, a rocking chair and side table for reading, a dropleaf table for writing, a closet for storage, cozy robe, towels and fresh flowers. it is a homey room that feels like a warm hug. forest room shares a bathroom with teri’s favorite.

this sunny bright single room on the 2nd floor has its very own private screen porch that looks out towards deer isle village. the porch has two adirondack chairs and flower pots. the room is furnished with a single bed, bedding, an antique writing desk and chair, a closet for storage, a cozy robe, towels and fresh flowers. teri’s favorite shares a bathroom with forest room.
garden room

this is the only room located on the ground floor and it is a very private room off the shop. it is a recent addition and features its own bathroom and shower. this room is simply furnished with two antique single beds, bedding, a shaker-style dresser, cozy robes, towels, and fresh flowers.
